September 2020

With March Break FINALLY over and the kids back at school, who doesn't need a massage?! Covid-19 screening and mandatory masks for RMTs are still in place, but I hope to see you soon!

August 2020

The summer is almost over. How did that happen?! I think we should get a do-over!

Although things are starting to return to normal, please note that the clinic is still required to follow a number of the new protocols. I am still required to wear a mask for the duration of your treatment. You will be asked to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire both before and at your appointments. I will continue to ask that you call to reschedule your appointment if you are feeling unwell. I truly appreciate your cooperation and understanding so far, and hope it continues.

July 2020

July 1st is Canada Day! The clinic will be closed to celebrate our awesome country!

Some of the COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted as we see consistent decreases in the number of cases. For the time being, Massage Therapists are still required to follow all of our set protocols. All RMTs are required to wear a mask for the duration of all treatments. Although not mandatory, it is advised that you also wear a mask to all of your appointments. If you choose to wear one and are unable to source your own, the clinic will provide one for you. You will also be required to answer a short COVID-19 survey both before and at your appointment. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about the new protocols or anything else related to the clinic or my treatments, please feel free to contact me.

June 2020

Massage Therapists have finally received the go ahead to return to work! Yay! Although I am back in the office, things may look a little different. For the foreseeable future you will be required to answer a short COVID-19 survey both before and at your appointment. All RMTs are required to wear a mask for the duration of all treatments. Although not mandatory, it is advised that you also wear a mask to all of your appointments. If you choose to wear one and are unable to source your own, the clinic will provide one for you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other concerns or questions. It's good to be back!

CLOSED

April 2020

The clinic is CLOSED due to the ongoing pandemic.

Please note: No new appointments will be made during the month of April and appointments booked for after April will be contingent on the state of emergency in the province being lifted.

As the situation is in a constant state of change, I will be contacting those with existing appointments closer to their appointment date to either confirm or cancel.

I am just as eager to get back into the clinic as you are to have your appointments. The clinic will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.

Please feel free to contact me by phone, text, or email at any time if you have any questions or concerns.

Please stay healthy, stay safe, and stay home until this is all over.

January 2020

Happy New Year!

2020 starts off with some very exciting news for Massage Therapists in Nova Scotia! Starting January 1st of this year anyone calling themselves a Massage Therapist MUST have a minimum level of education, be a member of a recognized association, and pass a criminal record check. This is the first step toward safer and more professional treatments and a better overall standard of care. Plans for full regulation of the profession are still in the works. Keep an eye out in the news for these exciting changes!

December 2019

It's beginning to feel like winter! Why not come in out of the cold and have a massage?! Appointments are available right up until December 31st!

I hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday season and a very merry Christmas!

August 2019

Hello! My name is Heather Cunningham and I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2007. I graduated from the 3-year Massage Therapy program at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario, and I have maintained good standing with both the CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario) and the RMTAO (Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario). With more than 12 years of hands-on experience in a variety of treatment settings, I am happy to say that I am confident in treating a very wide range of conditions and symptoms. I have spent the last 6 years as both owner and RMT at one of Orangeville, Ontario's largest and busiest massage therapy clinics. My clinic was very active in the community and won several awards including "Best Massage Therapy Clinic" and "Best Massage Therapist".

I recently moved with my family to the beautiful town of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. I love it here! I am excited to be a new member of MTANS (Massage Therapists' Association of Nova Scotia) and plan to become a contributing member of their group. I hope to continue to provide the best possible care in my business' new location on Water Street, as well as become active again in the community I will be serving. Appointments are available online, through text, email, or by phone. I try very hard to make booking as easy and pain-free as possible. My first day of business will be August 7th, 2019. I look forward to meeting and treating all of you! If you see me at the desk, stop in and say "Hi!"
